Bowen Therapy in Mackay

What is Bowen Therapy

Bowen therapy is a gentle pain relief technique used on soft tissue (connective tissue). It’s non-invasive and is safe for use with children, adults and the elderly.

In my clinic here in Mackay, I use Bowen therapy for a wide-array of health concerns including migraines, headaches, stiff shoulders and necks, sciatic-related pain, period pain and more.

How I Work as a Bowen Therapist

The initial Bowen Therapy appointment is used to assess your current health concerns. From this a treatment plan follows whereby you may require a series of 3-6 sessions. Each person is unique, and as such, results vary. You may notice immediate relief from your symptoms, or it may take slightly longer.

Bowen therapy may be used as a standalone technique, although certain conditions may benefit from a combined treatment approach. These options will be discussed with you at your initial appointment.

Ongoing Support

Your initial appointment is an hour in duration. I will use this time to understand you and your personal health concerns. To do this there will be a series of questions, delving in to unravel the root cause of your pain or discomfort.

From here I tailor a personal treatment plan, and use gentle Bowen Therapy techniques to release the pain you’re currently experiencing.

A  follow-up Bowen Therapy session occurs approximately 1-week from the initial appointment. This session will assess your progress and provide ongoing Bowen Therapy.

If further support is required these sessions will be scheduled.
